Darlington Borough Council received almost £1.6 million in Autumn 2020 to help reduce the rate of COVID-19 transmission within and between care settings. This money has ensured that social care settings across Darlington have the funds need to combat the spread of COVID-19 through enhanced infection prevention and control (IPC).
By March 2021, the Government had provided over £1.1 billion nationwide of ring-financed funding to support IPC in social care settings.
