£250 million invested in Northern Link Road thanks to Tees Valley Mayor’s decision

Today (22.1.24) Peter Gibson MP praised the £250 million of Government investment for the Darlington Northern Link Road.

Peter has been campaigning for the Northern Link Road since being elected as Darlington’s MP in 2019 and praised the announcement that funds are planned to be allocated by the Tees Valley Combined Authority Mayor, Ben Houchen for the project.

Peter stated ‘The £250 million of Network North money delivers the Northern Link Road and is a fantastic example of our Metro Mayor (Ben Houchen) delivering for Darlington’

Secretary of State Michael Gove responded by welcoming the investment as a fantastic example of ground-breaking investment and delivery in the Tees Valley.
