The COVID winter action grant was awarded to Darlington Borough Council as part of the £170 million nationwide support announced in November, to allow vulnerable families across England to get help through councils.
£364,817 has enabled the council to ensure that every child eligible for free school meals was fed over Christmas and will continue to be fed over the half-term holidays.
