2 hours free parking means the end of crippling car parking charges.  More people can come into town and boost local businesses to help create more jobs.

The NHS is now getting record investment. I’ll continue to campaign to get a fair share for our beloved Memorial Hospital, as well as better access to GPs and dentistry.  This will also mean we improve emergency care and can get an appointment when we need it most.

Working with the Council, teachers and parents, we can make sure schools get the facilities they need, like new sports pitches and better classrooms.

We need new homes in the right places, with access to schools, roads and health services.  That means working with residents on the plans for our Garden Villages.  We must also utilise all available brownfield land.

A new northern bypass will help cut congestion. So I’m campaigning for a link road between the A66 and Junction 59 of the A1.

I will continue to make the case for extra resources in Darlington.  Together with the community, we’ll give the police the support they need to catch criminals.
